This was my mantra yesterday – and I think moving forward as well. Yesterday, I decided that I was going to go to the gym to do some bis/tris and some stretching. But as I drove to the gym from work, I really started getting nervous – it had been so long since I’ve been to the gym of any kind (probably about 2 years).

I sat in my car for about 15 minutes and then told myself, just go in and workout for at least 10 minutes. I ended up completing a quick 30 minute workout because after I started, realized that the other people in there were not even paying attention to me (or not “lunks” that intimidated me) I was fine.

If you ever feel nervous, anxious, or have one of those days where you just don’t want to, try for a minimum of 10 minutes. Once you’ve started, you won’t want to stop. And even if you do stop, you did something 10 minutes longer than you were going to originally.
